Risk Disclaimer
Effective date: April 3, 2026
Summary
Trading and investing in financial markets involve substantial risk of loss. Lazyedge is not a broker, adviser, or fiduciary. Signals and analysis are not a promise of results. Automation (EdgeX) does not eliminate risk: it may execute according to rules you configure, including during fast or volatile conditions.
Past performance—whether of signals, backtests, or automation—does not guarantee future results. You can lose all capital you risk.
We do not claim that your account or funds are “safe,” that security is “guaranteed,” or that there is “no risk” to your account. Credential handling and encryption are described in the Privacy Policy; they are not a warranty against loss.
Signals vs automation
- Signals / EdgeCore-style insights are informational. They do not place trades unless you act manually or use another tool.
- EdgeX automation may send orders or manage positions on connected accounts as enabled by your settings. That can increase execution speed but also accelerate losses if your strategy, sizing, or risk controls are inappropriate.
Programmatic execution and authorization
When you connect a trading account and enable Automation, you authorize Lazyedge to execute trades and related actions programmatically on that account based on your configuration, within broker and platform constraints. You accept that software-driven execution can act quickly and without a manual click each time—including in ways that produce losses if markets move against you or settings are wrong.
Credential compromise and unauthorized activity
Automation uses credentials and connectivity between you, Lazyedge, and your broker. If credentials, devices, or access are compromised, unauthorized trading may occur, which could result in partial or total loss of funds in the affected account. You are responsible for securing your passwords, devices, broker portal access, and any API keys, and for reviewing your broker’s activity and open positions. No product or policy can eliminate this category of risk.
Automation, rules, and market reality
Lazyedge is intended to apply your defined risk controls and execution rules. Nevertheless:
- It does not guarantee profit and does not guarantee that losses will be prevented.
- Market conditions, volatility, gaps, slippage, spreads, liquidity, latency, and execution timing can all affect whether orders fill, at what price, and whether outcomes match your intent.
Disabling automation: where the product allows, you may turn off automated trading at any time. Lazyedge may also pause or limit execution under certain conditions (for example, connectivity or internal safeguards). These measures do not remove market or operational risk and may not stop activity that has already been accepted by your broker.
Key risks (non-exhaustive)
- Market risk — prices can move sharply against any position.
- Leverage risk — small market moves can cause large percentage losses or liquidations.
- Liquidity and gap risk — markets can gaps, halt, or widen spreads.
- Technology and connectivity — outages, latency, API limits, or software defects can delay, duplicate, or fail orders.
- Credential and account-access risk — Automation may require broker or platform login or API credentials that Lazyedge stores and uses on your behalf under the Privacy Policy. Encryption and access controls do not mean “no risk.” Any breach, misuse, phishing, or device compromise (affecting you, us, or a vendor) could contribute to unauthorized access or unauthorized trading. Funds stay with your broker; Lazyedge does not withdraw them—but losses can still occur inside your account. Use strong, unique secrets and monitor your broker’s activity.
- Model and signal risk — signals and automation logic can be wrong, late, or unsuited to current conditions.
- Operational risk — misconfiguration (wrong account, symbol, size, or risk cap) can cause unintended exposure.
- Regulatory and tax risk — you are responsible for compliance and tax reporting in your jurisdiction.
No guarantee
We do not warrant accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any signal, analysis, or automated action. We do not guarantee profits or loss limits.
Liability: except where mandatory law says otherwise, your relationship with Lazyedge is on an “as is” basis with strict limitations on our liability—including for security, privacy, and data incidents—as set out in the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Not personalized advice
Lazyedge is a tool for analysis and optional execution; it is not personalized investment, legal, or tax advice. Nothing we provide is tailored to your individual circumstances. If you need advice suited to your situation, consult a qualified professional.
Your responsibility
You alone decide whether to trade, enable automation, sizing, and risk limits. Only use capital you can afford to lose.
